S: How and when did you start collecting?

RB: Well, I’ve always collected little trinkets or heavy metal CD’s since a young age but it wasn’t until the very end of 2019 where the collecting bug really bit me, and it hurt, but I liked it 🤣.

It all started on a journey to my first ever comic shop in my local town. I laid my eyes on this sexy, sultry Vampirella Bust from Dynamite toys. Boy, was I hooked. She was perfect for my little Goth heart. I mean, what more could I ask for? Then I got got my first ever DC Collectibles, Bombshells.

Now, I absolutely adore pin-up girls, bikes and tattoos....this simply rocked my world! After that the cover girls rolled and then Gotham city Garage rolled in, add a few bulky muscular men, sprinkle some 1/4 court of the dead and low and behold, I’m here waiting on my first 1/3 scale premium.

S: What do you collect? Does your collection have a theme, such as Star Wars, Batman, superheroes, etc.?

RB: Mainly DC and Court Of The Dead, I’m pretty much into Niche pieces. They are true works of art.

I am slowly venturing into Marvel. I wouldn’t mind a Silver Surfer... but have you seen the new Heavy Metal 🤘🏻 range from Prime 1 or the new Ghost Rider coming to XM Studios? I’d totally be all over those pieces.

S: What are your favourite or the most prized pieces in your collection? And why?

RB: Definitely my court of the Dead Collection, I’ve collected 6 premiums in a two month time period, you can tell I really love them! They are unlike nothing I’ve ever seen. The detail is incredible!

I also love some of my smaller pieces, like the Gotham City Garage girls or the pin-up cat woman from DC direct, I don’t think I would ever sell those!

For me it’s not always about the size. I even collect 1/10 scale. It’s about the beauty of the piece. Some pieces will never be remade, not even in premium format. You’re capturing a piece of art history there.

S: What items are on your wishlist?

RB: More court of the dead... I’m really looking for an insane Batman and Superman 1/4 or 1/3 scale. Probably something from the DC Dark Knight Metal range... but then again I also like my classic comic style. Tough decisions 🙈
